Eastern Sierra Avalanche Center (ESAC) is seeking an Avalanche Forecaster for a seasonal position for the 2025-2026 winter season. ESAC forecaster positions work both independently and with other ESAC staff to collect and analyze field, snow, and weather data to provide public avalanche advisories for backcountry winter users in the ESAC forecast area. Additional work may include events, education, fundraising, and community outreach tasks. This is a full-time seasonal position that will start in November and run through April. Pay $24.00- $30.00, depending on experience. Work will be conducted from a home office and in the field within the ESAC forecast area, but attendance at events in the ESAC Forecast Region may be required.
