ESAC needs public comments in support of our grant application to the CA State Parks OHV grant.

This will be ESAC’s seventh year applying for this grant. For the last six winters, ESAC has received an OHV grant to support expanded education and outreach while helping fund ESAC’s core services. Continuation of the grant for 2026-2027 will provide a significant funding source to support ESAC’s operations. 

The period to submit public comments will be March 3, 2026 through May 4, 2026 at 5 PM. Applications will be available for comments during this time.

To view our application and provide comment:

  • Go to CA State Parks webpage – in the G26 Comment Period box, click the OLGA link.
  • On the left sidebar, click Review Preliminary Applications.
  • The Grant Program field should populate to GCA-26.
  • Select “Friends of Eastern Sierra Avalanche Center” from the Agency menu.
  • You will see the two parts of our application. You can view each part separately and provide comment.
