Observations

I did a short tour in the Mammoth Lakes Basin with a AIARE 1 class on 4/10, we started at 8:30 and planned to ski Dave's Wave but we ended up changing course slightly to do Mammoth Pass and the Horseshoe Trees due softening snow conditions and coverage concerns. We experienced moist snow except for very early in the day and the condition of Lake Mary Rd was deteriorating quickly even in the morning and very sticky on the skate out. Throughout the day we saw thin scattered clouds with moderate wind guests from the SW. We ended up dropping at 12:45 and riding conditions for the pass and the trees were great with about 2 inches of corn above edgeable snow.
