Submitted:
March 21, 2022
Zone or Region:
Mammoth Lakes
Activity:
Skiing/Snowboarding
Location:
N facing trees, between 9200-8000

Observations

Stayed on predominately n facing terrain. There was about 3” o new snow on top of a breakable crust at 8000 and up to 5” with breakable to firm crust at upper elevations 9200. Strong winds were stripping snow to southern aspects and there was slabby consolidated snow at the very upper n facing slopes in isolated areas. Nothing big. On the south side there were slabs being formed but I never rode anything there or looked very closely. Only triggered a few isolated small slabs on convex exposed rolls throughout the day.
