Weather Summary

A very large natural avalanche was spotted from the highway on the east face of Mt Wood.  Given the distance from the slide, it’s difficult to say with certainty what the weak layer was but the crown looks sizable and given the fracture location (shallow rocky mid-slope rollover) it is possible if not probable that persistent grain types were involved.
