Drove down to Convict to get a look at the mountains south of Mammoth to see if there had been any recent naturals:

  • D2.5 slab avalanche across upper start zone on Mendenhall Couloir on Laurel, 200m wide, ran full track.
  • D2.5 slab avalanche on N aspect of McGee Mountain, 150-200m wide, ran 150+m.
  • Lots of wind effect visible across the East Gullies on Mono Jim, Batch Plant Bowls, Fingers
