Observations

Toured from the house to see what the recent storms had done for the lower elevations snowpack. Enjoyable skinning with great coverage of rocks and bushes at 5000'. Dug a pit on a NE aspect at 5700' and found 60cm of right side up snowpack. Tests reacted on density changes in the recent storm with intermixed graupel observed. There was a knife hard melt freeze crust at the bottom of the pack. Skinned up to 6600' for some 30* turns and found HS 115 cm while probing before dropping in. Small sluff and rollerballs observed on solar aspects. No other instabilities observed.
