Recent Avalanche Tragedy in New Hampshire
This avalanche tragedy may have happened on the other side of the country, but the conditions sound an awful lot like recent conditions here in the Eastern Sierra. Melt/freeze crusts, an inch or two of new snow, winds = isolated wind slabs amongst frozen surfaces ... perhaps a distraction by the threat of springtime sunshine and warming slopes existed .... Sincere condolences to Nicholas' family and friends.
