More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Recent snow and high SW winds created areas of deep drifts and areas of scoured snow. Difficult to determine amount of new snow. Recently formed wind slabs were up to 40cm thick.

Dug pit on an obviously windloaded section below cliffs.

No whumping. No shooting cracks. No natural avalanches observed.

Winds increased from light to moderate with strong gusts during the period from 1100 to 1300. Snow plumes along high ridges and peaks. By 1300 snow transport was occuring at all elevations in this area.
