More detailed information about the snowpack:

Toured up to the top of White Wing from a parking area just past Obsidian Dome. Had to walk along the road for a while then up the Glass Creek Trail a few hundred vertical feet before it was worth putting on skis. Very little snow in the area in general. N and E faces and gullies have coverage, much less or none elsewhere. Snowpack is thin and faceted. Snow depths range from 20 to 60cm. Found a few fresh wind slabs from NE winds yesterday on an E aspect. Slabs were thin: 5 to 20cm and 4F+ hard sitting on top of F hard large grained facets. Tried doing some hand shears on an ENE aspect at 9100' and had the columns pop off while cutting (see video). Up higher above treeline all snow surfaces were wind affected. Bulletproof scalloped wind crusts on N and E aspects and P hard sastrugi and wind drifts on S and W aspects. Test slopes had no results. No other signs of instability observed today. Temps were below freezing. Winds were light with moderate gusts from the N. No blowing snow anywhere.
