More detailed information about the snowpack:

Toured up to the lookers left Tungstar Bowl form 7400' to 11,500'.   Very windy day .... SW predominantly over highest ridgetops, otherwise swirling all over the place.  Lots of wind effected snow throughout, from firm windboard to scattered strips of thin stiff wind deposit to stripped.  Didn't encounter any kind of sensitive windslab however anywhere in our travels.  Not to say there couldn't be any, as the winds were certainly blowing snow around, but the winds were so erratic and such limited loose snow that a fresh wind slab would be very isolated.  No signs of instability, just firm snow, and some tricky skinning that ski crampons helped with.  Morning started out sunny, but clouds moved in quickly and light was mostly flat thoughout the day.
