More detailed information about the snowpack: 

 Wind  slab formation evident on a variety of aspect. Hand pits showed 6-12" of dense wind transported snow on a soft snow surface which had easy-moderate failure. No evidence of instability during ski cuts or while skiing, however.

Cold, Strong winds, mostly from the north, above 11,500 feet yesterday in areas south of Bishop.  Widespread snow transport off  high elevation summits  and areas exposed to the wind.
