More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Dug a pit on West facing ridge off Hemlock above Sotcher Lake at 10,000' on 30 degree slope in a concavity below a convex roll to examine recent wind loading from NE winds and look for unstable wind slabs after finding failures during hand shear tests at 20cm on similar aspect at the top of chair 12.  Moderate to Intense blowing snow from NE during pit excavation, cloud cover broken. Tilt test hard result at 25cm on rounded grains. CTH SP, ECTP21, RB4 WP, all at 75cm on facets above a melt-freeze crust. Isolated significant wind slabs may exist on concave features near ridgelines of Westerly slopes.
