Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Toured with AIARE course to Northern end of Smugglers, above Minaret Vista to a sheltered N/NW aspect on a 25 deg. slope to assess snowpack structure and make observations on how the recent storm snow is bonding to the previous faceted surface snow. We measured 27cm of storm snow in this location, with limited wind effect sitting on top of 10cms of loose facets, with multiple tests confirming presence of this soft slab, and propagating results (ECTP12 and PST 23/100 end).

Overall take aways were a weak snowpack structure that will require continued monitoring, especially with any new snowload.
