Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Looked into snowpack on NW aspec,t BTL at 8579 ft. on Panorama Dome today. The only signs of instability we observed were in the upper snowpack between 11 cm and 17 cm down. Shovel tilt test: With hard force, were able to produce a planar fracture at 11 cm down. We were not able to reproduce a planar fracture result or any propagating fratures with any of our standardized pit tests. CTH RP Q2 at 12 cm and ECTN at 12 cm. We also observed a few surface sloughs and a loose wet D1 R1 on a SE aspect above Twin Lakes that corresponded with the 11/12 cm surface snow instabiliy results from out pit tests. Overall we see a trend toward improving snow stability.
