AIARE L1 Group toured below Mammoth Rock today to assess upper level snowpack structure after fluctuating freezing levels. 

Freezing levels fell, but not as fast as forecasted, with sleet turning to graupel by 1200. While surface snow was wet and saturated, it was only moist down to 15cm. Hand shears failed easily down 25cm on dry snow, but no other signs of instability were noted.
