Comments: Light wind effect @ the Trailhead (9750'). Wind effect increased with altitude and exposure. Test slopes on ascent minor cracking (elev ~9800, North aspect). Exposed areas, noticeable snow transport filling in skin tracks and ski tracks. Windloading - near treeline and above at midday, mod to intense on N-NE-E-SE aspects. Decreasing to moderate to light by pm and primarily at ridge top (~11,000+) on NE-E-SE. Extensive windloadinng on N-NE-E aspects through the AM and early PM, winds decreased to moderate by late PM. Hand shears - treeline and below ~ moderate where slab present, many sites too loose, no slab present. 3 Stability Tests: CT26 Q2 95cm CT21 Q2 95cm CT23 Q2 95cm. Noted 3 R2, D2 avalanches on South Peak, North Face. Slides occurred in steep rocky terrain with prime southwesterly to westerly fetch. Wind Slabs from treeline and above more defined and wide spread. Storm total varied with elevation: 4" to 6" at ~ 9700', increasing to 5" to 10" at ~ 10 500' and above.
