More detailed information about the snowpack:

Toured to the top of Red Cone to look at freshly deposited windslabs and dig in the snow to observe bonding characteristics in the problematic bottom layers of the snowpack.

Wind affect was evident just above the trees, with ski pen measuring only 5cm on lee slopes. North wind prevailed, though micro terrain was causing most aspects to experience both scouring and loading. Hand shears failed easily down 10cm.

A full pit here also identified the same weak structure abound in the Lakes Basin and elsewhere, and Extended Column Test (ECTP22 @ 32 cm from ground) and Propagation Saw Test (PST 28/100 End @ 32cm) both showed potential for propagation at a slight density change within the facets at the bottom of the pack.
