Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Ski toured from propane tanks up to ridgeline of Punta Bardini. No signs of instablities were observed. Settlement cones were observed along trunks of trees suggesting a consolidating snowpack. Snowpit dug at 9200ft below treeline in an opening in the trees. See attached profile. No significant results were observed with compression tests within our snowpit.  Overall 75cm snowpack (above 8500'). Shallower snow depths along more exposed areas of ridgelines from yesterday's strong southwest winds.  Limited areas had denser wind deposits but seemed well bonded at this time.  Early season obstacles still exist, but overall skiing was quite good.  Wind scouring and stripping was observed on southerly and westerly slopes on peaks to the southeast.  (See attached Photo)
