More detailed information about the snowpack: 

3 separate large collapses (whumphs) in an open treed glade were experienced while approaching slope from a lower angle ridge. 

Digging revealed 60cm of new snow from the past two storm systems, which is sitting on top of the well developed facet layer.

Several test results confirmed the propagation potential in this location.
