Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Toured in the Positives today 2nd drainage south of the negatives from the top of J7. Wide spread surface hoar on northerly's, .5-3mm. South aspects became moist by mid day and had MF crusts by 3 pm. Near surface facets below tree line on N aspects skied great but will be a big concern with the coming load. (Wouldn't want to be where I was today with a foot of snow sitting on sugar in a couple days.) Surface conditions out there right now remind me a lot of what we had right before that  persistent slab stint we had late Feb, early March last year.

The alpine on all aspects between the Negatives and the Office was massively wind effected and did not entice us at all, but from afar looked like wind board and sastrugi.

Probing in the Northern old growth in Positive Two revealed HS between 50-85cm. Noticable density (decrease) change at base of pack in places; never dug to inspect potential basal faceting. No whumphing, or collapsing experienced. Ski pen consistent ~25cm facets/decomposing fragments.
