More detailed information about the snowpack:

I toured up to about 10800’ on Old Mans bowl in the Convict area.  No wumphing, cracking, or recent avalanches were observed on my tour today.   Surface conditions were obviously wind affected for the entirety of the tour but skiing conditions were still pleasant.  I found about 10 cm of soft snow over about 25 cm of 1F-P wind board nearly everywhere.  Hand sheer tests showed the wind board to be well bonded.    Winds were moderate all day out of the west and where snow was available for transport it was moving.  Scouring was occurring near the top of Old Mans bowl and loading was occurring downslope.

I found the rain crust up to about 10000’ and in the moraines above tobacco flats, I found many areas where the rain crust was on the surface.
