Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Skinned up to North Lake from Aspendell in the North Fk Bishop Creek drainage to gauge current snowpack.  The road had adequate coverage to make for an enjoyable ski up and down the road.

After our recent cold temperatures the warming could potentially cause a few issues with loose snow shedding off steeper terrain and features. We could not see, nor traveled up higher in elevation to observe if anything in the snowpack was active. There were a few small roller balls on the skin up. Overall snowdepth at North Lake was 40-45 cm and the snow was wet. A good snowball was easily  made. Coverage did not appear to be much deeper on the northerly aspects near N Lake.

At 1200 it was 0 C/32F at North Lake at 9250'. We were enveloped in heavy clouds and it was humid. There was calm to non existent winds. It felt humid and dank, but not so wet that I observed water droplets on my glasses or parka.
