Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Went for an afternoon tour up San Joaquin ridge from dry creek. Forested SE terrain held a mix of recycled powder (facets) and some wet MF crusts. At 230p near treeline in S exposed area, found a couple inches of corn on top of supportable crust. Above treeline at 300p, on E ridgeline found a very hard 3" wind skin on top of facets. Couldn't find bottom of facets with a hand pit. Got very localized cracking on wind skin when jumping hard on it. On descent, previously wet MF crusts on all aspects except S had firmed up and where they were sitting on top of facets provided fairly terrifying breakable and grabby ski conditions.
