More detailed information about the snowpack:

Toured in the storm today out of Rock Creek. We rode a sheltered tree line, and on North aspects the snow was really good with no crust, where as other aspects had a sun crust below the new snow. New snow was coming down heavy, both quality and rate. We were seeing around an inch an hour (best guess) throughout the morning, and much heavier rates when we left around 1:30 2ish. The snow was quite gloppy. On the Moraines above the parking lot we were seeing considerable natural and rider triggered roller ball activity on a north-northwesterly aspect in the new snow. The new snow was sticking to itself very well, and seemingly to the prior snow as well. Quick hand shears didn't have any major break between the new and prior snow. There was a substansial change in the wetness of the new snow with only a couple hundred feet between 10000 and 10500ish. Finally, on the drive home the snow line was about 7000 at the top of the grade with heavy rain beneath that.
