Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Toured out past Minaret Vista today and dug several test pits at 9100', NW aspect.

Storm slab and persistant slab problems were readily found, as described in the bulletin, though we did not find notable wind slab formation in this location.

Hand shears, kick-turn tests and shovel tilts easily identified the storm slab.

At 40cm from bottom there were consistent results (CTM, RB5) on a crust/facet layer, that failed cleanly and suddenly.

At 10cm from bottom there were consistent results (CTE, CTM, ECTP23) on the basal facets, both above and below the crust which separate them.
