Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Toured out to ski Mammoth Rock Bowl. 10-20 cm of new snow from recent snow showers. Surface snow stable. Dug hand pits on approach near ridge above Mammoth Rock, did shear on wind slab layers below with moderate force. Cold north/east wind on ridge top. Skied Mammoth Rock Bowl. Good skiing with new surface snow on supportable wind slab below. No solar affect on snow surface. Dug pit in bowl at 9263'. CTH24 Q1 at 17cm down with CTH24 Q1 at 27 cm down on facets and surface hoar. ECTN 17 at 20&25 cm.
