More detailed information about the weather:

Driving down Hwy 395 this morning, big snow banners blowing off the high peaks powered by northwest winds. Still blowing in the afternoon, with swirlling winds and much snow moving around in the high cirques.  This storm had a low snow line - 5,000-6,000 ft.  Not much obvious avalanche activitiy visible from the highway, but some of the texture in chutes and runout zones suggested that a lot of tracks slid and then were buried/reloaded by later snowfall or wind deposition.
