More detailed information about the snowpack: 

There were quite a few small wet slides on both sides of convict canyon from the previous day (3/3). From 9K to 11K feet the new snow had started to consolidate, but from 11,500 to 12,000 feet in the drainage leading up to Mt. Baldwin the new snow was fresh and low density (it did not appear to have been transported by wind, there was no wind slab). Depth from 12 - 24".
