Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Toured up to summit of Chicken Wing in the morning from 8000' to 9650' and back down.  No signs of instability.  A trace of new light snow from last night topping either creamy powder on aspects with at least a touch of north, or else thin melt freeze on anything E and south of E.  Hand pits showed solidely bonded upper snow in sheltered trees, no signs of sensitive windslab near the exposed ridgetop.  Beautiful sunny day, chilly air temps, the slightest occasional air movement at the ridgetop.  Terrific skiing on non-sun affected slopes.
