San Joaquin Mountain :

Negatives – 2 Wind Slabs D2, R1 Negatives 1 & 2 in crossload complex terrain.

1 D3+/4 in the Negatives that failed during the 3/21-22 storm cycle. Noted partial crowns under the cliffs looking up from Negative 1 and extending to the east toward the Hourglass with a pocket failure on the should D2.

Dream Pk – D3, with another D3 further down Hemlock Ridge bowl that feeds down toward Yost Lake.

Ghost Trees – D2/3 during the storm cycle.

Carson Peak (East Face) - two D3’s and evidence of 3 D2’s.

Carson Peak (Northface) – D4 Devil’s Slide, D3+ Pete’s Dream, multiple D2/2+’s along the rock face.

Mt Wood – a good size debris field on the apron of Mt. Wood D3+ Northeast aspect, ran approx. 2000’ vertical. Looked to be a Wind Slab from today (3/23) or late during the cycle (3/21-22)

Unnamed peak directly north of Carson Pk – noted an additional debris field on the apron from 3/21-22, D3

Strong SW winds aloft with large snow plumes and banners on all peaks visble from Mammoth south to June north. Lite to moderate winds with strong gusts from treeline and below. Skies mostly clear with isolated cummulus.
