More detailed information about the avalanche:

Report of several slides today seen from Mammoth Mtn. in TJ Bowl.  Unclear when these occured exactly, and if they were natural or human triggered, but occured sometime between yesterday evening and today (likely today).  Two smaller ones were on more easterly facing terrain, and could have been due to warming, hard to tell from photo.  The larger one in the middle was more certainly a wind slab.   Lots of uncertainty, but suffice it to say avalanche conditions were sensitive today in the Lakes Basin.
