Location:
Mt. Morgan (N) wind transport and crown

Observations

I observed active wind transport and a crown line on Mt. Morgan (N) this morning. It was evident that the wind was cranking on the Nevahbe ridge, although only certain points on the ridge were actually having snow transported. (My guess is that there is a remaining fetch behind the ridge in some spots and not in others.) Where snow was being transported, it was doing so dramatically and was depositing it far down the chute (nearly halfway down!). On a NE facing sidewall, I spotted a crown. My guess is that it is relatively fresh since it looked sharp in my binoculars and not eroded. It also appeared to have stepped down. Wind was also blowing BTL with moderate transport.
