Triggered Avalanches

Did you trigger any avalanches?
Yes

Yes
Avalanche Type:
Soft Slab
Size:
Size 1: Relatively harmless to people
Elevation:
9600
Aspect:
NE
Comments:
40cm thick soft slab failing within storm snow. All test slopes and micro terrain features over 30deg that we skied over were sensitive to skier triggering. Mid slope, on a more exposed E aspect with more pronounced wind affect, shallower 30cm thick wind slabs were also able to be skier triggered.
