Observations

On a private tour out with Golden State Guiding we toured up to tele bowls. During our tour significant wind transport was occurring. No new avalanches were visible and one crack was observed on a thin layer of wind slab on a northern feature. After first descent we stoped and dug a pit and was able to identify weak faceted layer under hard crust about 1-2 feet below the surface. However we received CTN and ECTN results on this layer. Tests were performed on a Northern aspect at 8000ft elevation.
