Observations

Average temp was around -4°c with strong to moderate wind that became light to moderate wind from the south west. Snow depth was 75cm at twin, 125 just upslope from George, and 145 at east slope and red cone bowl. We were able to trigger some small point release sloughs in the upper elevations, as well as a shooting crack across a convex upon a ski cut, however nothing serious would move or propagate. A denser layer was consistently felt at around 15cm from ground level, which felt “crunchy”. SQT: 9.5/10
