Key Points

Went back to the backside of Mammoth Mountain to track snow surface conditions and coverage.  The new snow from the storm earlier this week has almost completely transitioned to Melt Forms.  Between yesterday and today the depth of the surface snow reduced from 10cm to 4cm in Visalia Bowl.  Surfaces were supportable and pleasant skiing when we dropped in at 11 AM.  We went for a second lap in Fresno Bowl and the surface conditions were similar at 1 PM.  The access was tricky with rocks showing through at the top of the run.  Our skis took a little bit of a beating getting down to the skiing.  See photos for more coverage info.  We did not experience any unstable snow today.
