Virginia Lakes Obs:
Toured today to ski South Peak, found good coverage, 65-100cm HS. Northern aspects holding more snow, though plenty of wind-stripped ridges and bare spots exist. Southern aspects have gotten spottier since last Thursday when I was last up there.
An average of 20cm of new snow sits on the old snow surfaces (melt-freeze crust and firm windboard).
Ski quality was good in the am, but strong solar input left any exposed slopes getting moist by midday.
