Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

-Cloudy morning /afternoon with occasional windows of sunshine breaking through.

-Very windy.  Strong southern gusts at ridgetop enough to blow someone over.  Moderate winds at mid elevations.

-9:45am, 9600': air temp= 5deg C / 42 deg F, breezy, 100% cloud cover.

-Very firm, virtually no softening on route up to top of negatives at 11:45, except for small southern exposures near trees/rocks.

-Skied down furthest skiers left most SE facing chute at 12:00pm.  Top 150ft firm, but very edgeable, slight surface moisture.  From 10,800' down to 9,200' a couple inches of loose small corn ontop of firm, skied suprisingly quite well despite the cloud cover and winds.  No rollerballs.

-Skied down steep treed pitch to rd from 8800' to 7600' close to 1pm, not rotten, but thick and manky, sticky down low.  Some small wet heavy sloughing on steep pitches.
