Small pocket slide at the base of the Leavitt Cliffs. Could have been triggered by a falling cornice or some other debris from above. Most likely during last storm event?

Informal Snowpack Observations
Dug a quick test pit at the top of a small couloir - 9,700' - 340 deg. north. Stiff (25cm) wind board on top of 5-7cm rounded layer on top of 10cm of well developed facets on the ground. Easy to Moderate, Q1 shear results on the 25cm layer. No results on ski cuts - ski pens. were less than 1" while skiing.

Signs of Instability
On W/NW aspects, a well established and fairly widespread stiff wind-board was present.
Potential for HS slides if skiers or snowmobilers could effect the windboard enough.
A couple of small, Class 1 Nautral slides were observed on North and Northeast aspects.
